HydraScalp Therapy

HydraScalp is a comprehensive, multi-step scalp treatment that combines deep cleansing, scalp conditioning, massage, professional topical ingredients and selected device-based technologies. The treatment removes excess oil, product residue and surface buildup; improves scalp hydration; supports a balanced scalp environment; stimulates the scalp and hair follicles; addresses common scalp concerns and promotes ultimate relaxation eliminating stress.

How it works

How the treatment works

Magnified imaging allows the practitioner to examine the scalp surface, follicular openings, oil distribution, visible flaking, congestion and areas requiring focused treatment. The findings are used to customise the procedure and provide appropriate home-care recommendations.

A fine mist of oxygen-infused essence water is sprayed across the scalp to refresh the treatment area, loosen surface impurities and provide an initial layer of hydration. This prepares the scalp for cleansing and subsequent treatment stages.

Controlled steam gently warms and softens accumulated oil, dead skin cells and product residue. It helps prepare congested follicular openings for cleansing while providing a comfortable and relaxing start to the treatment.

The scalp is cleansed section by section using selected professional scalp-cleansing solutions. This stage removes excess sebum, sweat, environmental impurities, loose flakes and styling-product buildup without requiring a conventional hair wash.

Professional hygienic techniques and selected device-based treatment are used to reduce surface contamination and promote a clean, refreshed scalp environment. As living skin cannot be medically sterilised, this stage is designed to cleanse and purify the scalp rather than claim complete sterilisation.

A high-frequency glass electrode is moved systematically across the scalp. The treatment produces a mild warming and stimulating sensation and has a surface-purifying effect. It assists with excess oil, visible congestion and scalp freshness while stimulating local microcirculation.

Professional topical active compounds are selected according to the scalp analysis. These may include hydrating, soothing, oil-balancing, exfoliating, antioxidant, peptide, amino-acid or hair-conditioning ingredients. Where a regulated pharmaceutical product is clinically indicated, it is used only when lawfully supplied and administered by an appropriately authorised practitioner.

Suitably diluted essential oils may be incorporated for their scalp-conditioning, aromatic and relaxation benefits. The formulation is selected for the client's scalp condition and is avoided where there is sensitivity, allergy, pregnancy-related unsuitability or another contraindication.

A structured massage is performed to release scalp tension, distribute the selected topical products and stimulate superficial circulation. The massage also promotes relaxation and supports a comfortable, refreshed feeling throughout the scalp.

Low-frequency mechanical vibrations assist the even distribution and absorption of selected water-based topical ingredients. Ultrasound also provides gentle scalp stimulation and supports the conditioning and hydration stages of the treatment.

Controlled electrical pulses temporarily increase the permeability of the scalp's outer barrier, supporting the non-invasive delivery of compatible topical active ingredients. This allows selected formulations to be applied efficiently without needles.

Controlled radiofrequency energy produces gentle, uniform warming within the treated tissue. This stimulates the scalp, supports local circulation and enhances the overall conditioning treatment. Energy levels are adjusted carefully for comfort and scalp sensitivity.

A cooling handpiece is applied after the warming and infusion stages. It calms the scalp, reduces the sensation of heat, supports comfort and leaves the treated area feeling soothed and refreshed.

Selected wavelengths of non-invasive LED light are applied to the scalp. Red and near-infrared wavelengths support photobiomodulation, scalp circulation and cellular activity associated with a healthy follicular environment. Other wavelengths may be selected where oiliness, visible inflammation or scalp congestion is a concern.

The treatment concludes with selected leave-on scalp-conditioning ingredients. These help maintain hydration, comfort and scalp balance without leaving the hair unnecessarily heavy.

What to expect

Before

HydraScalp is a specialist scalp treatment. Clients should attend with clean and dry hair and scalp because HydraScalp does not include hair wash. Hair should be free from styling products, dry shampoo, hair fibres, oils, serums, sprays, gels and other leave-in products.

The scalp must not have open wounds, cuts, broken or actively inflamed skin, recent bruising, bleeding, active infection, weeping lesions or significant sunburn. Clients must inform the practitioner about allergies, sensitivities, diagnosed scalp conditions, recent hair or scalp procedures, pregnancy, implanted electrical or medical devices, relevant medical history and any topical or oral medications being used.

If the scalp is suitable for treatment, the practitioner selects the appropriate treatment stages, device settings, topical active compounds and essential oils according to the client's scalp condition, comfort and treatment goals.

During

The practitioner divides the hair into sections and treats the scalp systematically to ensure consistent coverage. Products, device settings and treatment time are adjusted according to oiliness, dryness, sensitivity, visible flaking, buildup and the client's comfort. Clients may experience gentle warmth, cooling, vibration or mild tingling during different stages.

After

The scalp feels clean, conditioned, refreshed and hydrated. Because HydraScalp includes leave-on active ingredients, clients should avoid washing the hair immediately after treatment. Unless otherwise directed, allow the applied ingredients to remain on the scalp for approximately 6–12 hours.

Avoid scratching, vigorous brushing, strong exfoliating scalp products, hair dye, bleaching, excessive heat, sauna use and intense exercise for 24–48 hours if the scalp feels sensitive. Use gentle scalp and hair products and follow the personalised home-care advice provided by the practitioner.

Aftercare

Looking after yourself afterwards

  • Do not wash the hair for approximately 6–12 hours after treatment unless advised otherwise.
  • Use a gentle shampoo and avoid harsh scalp scrubs or strong exfoliating products for 24–48 hours.
  • Avoid hair dye, bleaching and other chemical scalp treatments for at least 48 hours or as directed.
  • Avoid excessive heat, steam, sauna use and intense exercise for 24 hours if the scalp is sensitive.
  • Do not scratch, pick or aggressively massage areas of irritation.
  • Introduce only the recommended leave-on scalp products after treatment.
  • Continue prescribed hair-loss medication only in accordance with the prescriber's directions.
  • A maintenance treatment every 4–6 weeks suits many clients; a customised initial course may be recommended for particular scalp concerns.
Recommended schedule

For general scalp maintenance and relaxation, a HydraScalp treatment every 4–6 weeks suits many clients. A more frequent initial course may be recommended for significant oiliness, buildup, dryness, flaking or as part of a structured hair-support program. Treatment frequency is adjusted according to the scalp analysis, sensitivity, response to treatment, home-care routine and any medical or professional hair-loss treatment being used.

Consultation, scanning and general aftercare principles that apply to every treatment are covered once in Shared Treatment Information.
